A joint session with colleagues in Manchester, UK, hosted by Frances Leviston. Kelechi Anucha, a literary and medical humanities scholar who directs the MA in Arts, Culture and the Environment at the University of Manchester, shares new research on X-ray imaging in the work of Claudia Rankine; earlier work has looked at time, care and the dying body in contemporary writing and film. Siân Macfarlane, an artist and Senior Lecturer in Photography at Manchester Metropolitan University, works across historic darkroom processes, film, performance and installation, reading post-industrial landscapes through literature and folklore, and presents new multimedia work on the landscapes of neglected writers.
